Objective
Defeat all monster cards while keeping your health above 0. Navigate through rooms, collect weapons, use potions, and fight monsters strategically.
Health
You start with 20 health. Your maximum health is 20. If your health reaches 0, you lose.
Rooms
Each room contains 4 cards. You must interact with 3 cards before proceeding to the next room. You can run from a room (but not twice in a row), which moves the current room to the bottom of the deck.
Card Types
- Weapons (Blue border): Equip to reduce damage from monsters. Each weapon can only be used on monsters of decreasing value. After defeating a monster with value X, you can only use the weapon on monsters with value less than X.
- Monsters (Red border): Fight them barehanded or with a weapon. Higher value = more damage. When you have a weapon equipped, you can choose to fight barehanded or use your weapon.
- Potions (Green border): Restore health. The first potion you use in a room heals normally. Any additional potions in the same room heal 0.
Combat
- Barehanded: Take damage equal to the monster's value.
- With Weapon: Take damage equal to (monster value - weapon value). Damage cannot be negative.
Scoring
- If you died: Score = 0 - (sum of remaining monster values). This will be a negative value.
- If you survived: Score = your remaining health.
- Bonus: If your health is 20 and your last card was a health potion, your score will be 20 plus the potion's value.
